With more than 15 years of experience in leadership development, Andrea Jaffee is dedicated to LeaderXpress’s founding vision of empowering impactful leaders. She believes the most effective leadership training and coaching take the best from research and theory to create practical tools and methods that are immediately accessible and actionable for leaders.
Building upon programs and methodologies developed by her mother, LeaderXpress founder Denise Brouillette, Andrea carries the company legacy forward by offering programs and services that energize leaders to connect with their essential selves even as they expand into their greatest potential. To this end, Andrea has assembled a team of powerful leadership development experts and coaches — gifted practitioners whose experience and success within established organizations uniquely position them to serve our clients.
Andrea was formerly the director of operations and communications at LeaderXpress and is an award-winning playwright. She holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a master’s in writing from San Francisco State University. She is based in New York City.

Lisa Duerre built her expertise in leadership development during her 23 years as a leader in technology talent development and customer success at Synopsys and Applied Materials.
Now dedicated to guiding and inspiring leaders worldwide across a variety of fields and organizations, Lisa joined LeaderXpress as a Managing Partner in June 2017. Lisa's life-changing experiences in programs led by Denise Brouillette and LeaderXpress contributed significantly to her leadership success, and she is called to "pay it forward" by bringing the LX leadership principles and programs to as many leaders as possible.
In her most recent position as Senior Director of Marketing for Customer Support Programs & Internal Technical Development programs at Synopsys, Lisa built and led world-class training programs and events that connected over 10,000 customers and increased the skills of over 2,000 engineers annually. Lisa’s cross-functional career achievements also include rolling out successful IT implementations, managing $10mm events, leading merger & acquisition HR projects, and coaching executives.
Lisa holds a BSBA in Human Resources Management from San Jose State University and is a licensed Desire Map Facilitator. Among the awards and accolades she received during her tenure at Synopsys, she is most proud of receiving the Synopsys Employee Excellence Award, being consistently rated by the executive team in the top 10% of performers, and earning exceptional employee retention/managerial approval rating scores year after year.

A strategic innovator with a passion for personal, professional, and business growth, Betsy Flanagan has worked with leading companies — McKinsey, Blue Shield of California, Synopsys, and others — to develop strong and effective leaders. Drawing upon her experience as an executive inside Fortune 500 companies as well as venture-funded start-ups, including Wells Fargo and Altius Education, Betsy enables both enterprises and individuals to leverage their strengths, achieve their leadership potential, develop their professional capabilities, and navigate increasingly complex business environments.
Betsy is a powerful and engaging speaker, having presented at CES, SXSWi, iStrategy, NMX, and other leading technology conferences. She received an AB cum laude in anthropology from Harvard University and an MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business; completed iPEC’s Leadership Coaching Training; and is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and certified Master NLP Practitioner.
Based in San Francisco, where she works with clients across diverse industries including financial services, healthcare, higher education, new media, and technology, Betsy creates positive and indelible changes in individuals, the teams they lead, and the companies they work for.

Returning to LeaderXpress with 20+ years of global leadership experience, Ruth has managed and led teams for mid-to-large organizations through significant change and growth; consulted to senior managers and executives within the technology, finance, healthcare, hospitality, and telecommunications industries; designed programs for mergers and transitions, virtual team effectiveness, systems and strategic thinking, cultural change, and leadership transformation; and coached executives, leaders, change agents, and individuals.
Most recently, Ruth was head of Leadership and Organizational Development for Electronics For Imaging (EFI), where she developed leaders at all levels across the organization. Charged with building capability and capacity within the leadership community, she designed and delivered programs emphasizing relevance and practicality, enabling leaders to achieve new levels of personal and professional effectiveness. The result was an organization whose leadership delivered double-digit growth year after year.
From 2001–2007, Ruth worked alongside LeaderXpress founder Denise Brouillette as Vice President and Director of Leadership Initiatives to facilitate leadership development programs. She consulted to and provided executive coaching services for corporate and nonprofit clients, including Kaiser Permanente, Genentech, Align Technology, Synopsys, Symantec, Boston Scientific, Pimco, and Capital One.
Before immigrating to the US in 2001, Ruth worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Asia Pacific. There, she supported the company’s global leadership development and organizational change practices and was recognized for successfully transitioning and integrating a thousand-person organization into EDS New Zealand. As an expatriate, she guided the US team to lead effectively as part of a global organization.
Ruth holds a Masters in Organizational Management from the Fielding Graduate University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Regent University. She gained her business coach certification from Corporate Coach University International, was designated a Professional Certified Coach by the ICF, and completed MIT’s core course in organizational learning. Ruth also brings expertise in change management, cultural alignment, and a variety of 360 and interpersonal assessments.

Donna Lesch works as a business coach and HR consultant to help leaders unpack the noise and locate the tools they need to confidently and capably realize their full potential. Using her extensive experience as a strategic change agent, she partners with CEOs, executive teams, and board members to identify roadblocks and simplify overly complex processes that are stalling their growth. Donna works with leaders to design healthy cultures that are resilient to change and provide team members the space to thrive while meeting their challenging business goals.
Donna’s extensive experience as an executive uniquely positions her to understand clients’ needs from the inside. As Chief HR Officer, she architected and rolled out global organizational change initiatives that accelerated business growth across a diverse range of sectors including financial services, education, technology, and supply chain. In addition, her experience leading the HR function at large organizations like CSC and KLC as well as younger, smaller companies like Bridgewell Resources informs her tailored solutions for client organizations of different scales and maturities.
As a consultant, Donna has worked with professors Michael Tushman from the Harvard Business School and Charles O’Reilly from the Stanford Graduate School of Business coaching executives and teams in the Leading Change and Organizational Renewal program (LCOR) both at Stanford and through the consulting firm Change Logic. Donna has also worked with non-profits developing their strategic plans and leadership teams.
Donna is based in Portland, OR when she is not traveling the globe on client projects. She holds a BA in Psychology and Education from the University of Washington.

Libby Halstead delivers energizing and results-oriented coaching and facilitation for CEOs, executives, managers, and teams to increase their impact, performance, and job satisfaction. She brings insights and approaches from her dual backgrounds in management consulting and human development. Libby also applies a pragmatic focus and prioritizes individual and team behaviors that drive business outcomes, and at the same time, her natural care and genuine interest for “the person behind the leader” make clients feel comfortable, understood, and willing to collaboratively explore new solutions.
Drawing on a range of approaches, Libby works with clients across industries including high tech, media, law, and financial services in the areas of influence and stakeholder mapping, implementing strategic change, operating as a high performing team, working together with diverse personality types, increasing and applying emotional insight and awareness, constructively managing conflict, and developing improved cross-cultural awareness and dexterity.
As a management consultant with McKinsey & Company as well as with Katzenbach Partners, founded by The Wisdom of Teams author Jon Katzenbach, she led projects earlier in her career with global clients on topics ranging from strategic growth to culture change and sales force effectiveness.
Libby earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Wellesley College. Now based in Boston, she is a certified executive coach, and is certified in the use of MBTI, Hogan, AEM Cube, and Internal Family Systems (Level 2). She is also proficient with the FIRO-B, LPI 360, Enneagram, Kantor and Thomas Kilmann (TKI). A lifelong traveler and an expat from an early age, Libby has traveled and worked in over 30 countries, is bilingual in English and French, fluent in German, and conversant in Italian, Spanish and Dutch.

Maura is a purposeful leader with a track record of creating a shared, inspired vision and delivering results that exceed expectations. In her current role as Development Director for the Dean of Research at Stanford University, Maura leads the fundraising strategy for the University’s interdisciplinary institutes in the life sciences. Through collaborative leadership and teamwork, Maura has helped Stanford recently secure more than $110M in philanthropic support and initiate engagement strategies for significant gifts in the near future.
In her previous position at Stanford, Maura co-led the University Major Gifts organization and helped the team make remarkable contributions to The Stanford Challenge, a university-wide campaign which strategically engaged donors and volunteers and raised $6.23B. In addition to her impact in university fundraising, Maura has partnered with people across all levels to create powerful outcomes in business development, marketing strategy, and product development.
Before Stanford, Maura served in a number of roles in high tech including VP of Corporate Strategy for Visual Numerics, a data analytics software company. She also lived and worked in Asia for many years, where she held roles in international marketing and sales, and developed and taught cultural, business and leadership seminars to executives.
Maura earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and her MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. Additionally, Maura has participated in many leadership courses throughout her career including Leading Without Limits, taught by LeaderXpress founder Denise Brouillette.

Known for developing high performers, building strong partnerships and teams, and delivering results, Maura is committed to helping people and organizations reach their full potential.

A lifelong advocate for personal transformation and an influencer in the field of leadership development for over 20 years, Denise Brouillette believed each one of us has the capacity to become a leader.
It was with this conviction that Denise founded The Innovative Edge in 1994 – she changed the name to LeaderXpress in 2011 – in order to create practical, accessible programs and methodologies for those seeking to improve their leadership and influence skills. Denise brought a deep passion for helping leaders at all levels to embrace and understand the power they hold within as a way to increase their impact and professional satisfaction.
Denise had a profound and lasting effect on her clients, who hailed from 24 different countries and across the fields of technology, healthcare, finance, media, and higher education. She worked closely with executives and leaders at Synopsys, LinkedIn, Applied Materials, Wells Fargo, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford University, Plantronics, Informatica, and others.
Denise earned an MA in management from the Simmons School of Management and her BS with honors from Boston University. She held a Board Certified Coach (BCC) designation through the Center for Credentialing and Education and a variety of world-class leadership assessment certifications. In addition to designing and delivering leadership and influence programs for corporate clients, she also created and taught two courses — Power and Influence: Women and Leadership and Women and Negotiation — at UC Berkeley Extension.
Before moving to San Francisco, Denise honed her leadership development experience at two teaching hospitals of the Harvard Medical School system and as vice president of a consulting firm in Boston. The first in her family to attend college, Denise developed her burgeoning leadership expertise early on as a single mother raising her daughter while working and putting herself through school.
As she coached executives, senior leaders, and leadership teams in the areas of power and influence, leadership presence, political intelligence, interpersonal communication, and the building of motivated teams across distance and cultures, Denise cherished her deep and sincere connection with her clients and the community she created through her work.
